Dear Freind,Many people seem to think that they can use affirmations in a vacuum while leaving the rest of their life as it is. Affirmations don’t work that way. The process of affirmations is really simple.
1. Think/say a new thought (the affirmation)
2.Experience a positive feeling about the thought ( the affirmation)
3.Make new decisions that will support your new thought (the affirmation)
4.Take new actions that support the decisions you have made
5. Experience your affirmation coming to pass
Does these chains of events always happen easily? No, and the reason is something you might not be expecting. The person doing the affirming has to be willing to make changes in their life. Why? Well, if you are affirming for a ‘certain something’ it would make sense that whatever you have been doing in the past has not been that productive in relation to the ‘certain something’ or you would already have what you are focusing on. In other words, as soon as the unwanted seeds of thoughts Negative thoughts in your mind stop them by replacing it with a positive better feeling thought.
Now don’t think you have to start psychotherapy or howl at the moon before your affirmation will come to pass. You can if you want to, if you think it will help (and in some cases that is really the option that will serve you). For the rest of you there is a simple ‘starter affirmation’ you can say regardless of your ‘main affirmation’ that will cover you.
“I am open to changing and evolving.”
That’s it? Yup. Oh, you also have to really mean it. Here is another tip:
Don’t work yourself up about anything. Just be open to whatever comes to the forefront of your thinking. Usually you start seeing unproductive or dysfunctional behavior in your life such as:
-You hear yourself saying something and realize it contradicts your affirmation and the life you are focusing on.
-You see your friends behaving in ways that will prevent you from achieving your affirmation and you ‘know’ you have to make some changes in your relationships.
-You go to perform a task you have done a hundred time and you suddenly see it as being different and part of the key to you achieving your affirmation.
The truth is no one’s entire life is like one big, long sunny day. At some point, we all face storms-whether they come in the form of unexpected illness, job loss, and financial crisis, martial difficulties, problems with children, or any number of other scenarios that are stressful, intense, and important. This is especially true when you start to change your life and use affirmation things will begin to stir-up. When the storms of life arise, it’s best to keep your mind and emotions as still as possible and focus on the affirmation for the moment.
Most of the times you experience an ‘ah ha’ moment and know exactly what you need to do and any changes you need to make. Other times it is a slow process of noticing that something in your life is the cause of your lack of having something you really want. When the realization comes you will know and making the changes will be a no brainer.
Remember this affirmation:
“I am open to changing and evolving.”
This simple statement will open the door to your affirmations easily aligning themselves to you.
Until Next time my friend!!!

Things to think about, Life will always have challenges just remember this too shall pass. Your ultimate goals and objectives you have set out for your life resolves around your fears, anxiety or low self-confidence. Do you have a sense for which one of these may be causing the hiccups you mention? If so you have the first step to getting out of your rut.
Many of my clients respond to their problem with this statement, “Every time I say to myself I need to make a change, it always backfires and I end up going one step forward, 500 steps back.”
Do you feel this way, if so you are not alone!
The truth is when you get the feelings that your goals are impossible to reach, do you believe it has to do with the goals you have selected or with uncertainties/fears/negative challenges that impact your belief that you will get there?
When this happens you need to try harder to put yourself in situations that will create opportunity of change. Not only will doing something for change and the enjoyment of it help get out of your mental rut; it will give you a new opportunity to form relationships and friends… breaking down your fear boosting self confidence are all supported by the willingness to change.
I look forward from hearing from you!!!
Love and Blessing LeToya
