Can you remember an occasion when your negative attitude provoked a negative response? How could you have been more positive in that situation? I’ll tell you how by detaching. Negative thinking tends to blow things out of proportion, viewing them as larger and more difficult than they really are. Remember, I mention earlier that negative attitudes produce negative responses while positive attitudes encourage positive responses.
I have found that the secret to affirmations is to release the outcome. I know it sounds counterproductive but it really is not. Here is how it works.
I have found that the secret to affirmations is to release the outcome. I know it sounds counterproductive but it really is not. Here is how it works.
Let's say you are affirming to get a new job. You focus and affirm and go about your day to day comings and goings. After many months you are wondering what is happening, or what isn't happening -- you are still in the same old crappy job...
Sometimes, affirmations don't work.
While there are many possible reasons for this:
-You sabotage the affirmation because your inner self does not support the venture
-You don't stick with it
-Negative thinking is circling your brain instead of positive
-You don’t expect change to happen
-You feel bad even though you are speaking positive thoughts

-You feel bad even though you are speaking positive thoughts
As well as others there is also the element of 'something better than the affirmation' happening.
I will explain...
Sometimes we think we really really want something to happen (increase our beauty, get a lover, increase our wealth, get a new house, land a new job, etc). Sometimes our inner self has something better in mind; we just don't know it yet. Sometimes what we think would be really great for us really would not. I can’t emphasize too strongly how important it is that you resist the urge to characterize something as totally negative or to focus excessively on negative aspects of a situation. Look at the situation as a whole and find something positive about it. Overall, know without a doubt what it is that you want then release the outcome.
Releasing the outcome of an affirmation allows The Universe (or your inner self) to let these perfect things happen.
There have been many affirmations I have faithfully affirmed only later to be SO happy they did not come to pass. Life twists and turns sometimes and I know we think we have it all figured out but sometimes surprises happen that are very fruitful and full of joy. Even some really painful experiences result in great things happening that otherwise would have never happened.
Automatically blaming ourselves when something goes wrong or thinking everything that goes is intended against us as individuals is making things in life to personal and it makes positive thinking very difficult.
Let go of the outcome and simply state to The Universe after a meditation/affirmation

"This or something better"This is really an exercise in detachment or being unattached to the outcome of your affirmations and accepting what is (rather than pining for something, somewhere else).
Yes, you really want these things to happen...
-you voice the desire (the affirmation)
-you feel the emotion
-you make different decisions
-you take different actions...
Point blank and then you forget about it. When results start happening accept them. This doesn't mean you can not affirm for the results to change it simply means accept whatever happens -- after all you are creating all of this. If you really think your results suck ask your inner self what is going on -- I am sure you will get what you need to understand at this time.
Real Talk: I have learned that worry and reason are weak spots in many people lives. I used to worry and try to figure out many things. I couldn’t seem to relax and be at peace unless I thought I had everything all figured out. I realize a long time ago that it was my desperate but foolish attempt to feel in control of life and therefore safe. When I allowed myself to worry and reason. I gave place to unwanted thoughts and circumstances. My message to you my friend is to stop worrying about how life will unfold and learn how to detach and go with the flow.

Things to think about, Life will always have challenges just remember this too shall pass. Your ultimate goals and objectives you have set out for your life resolves around your fears, anxiety or low self-confidence. Do you have a sense for which one of these may be causing the hiccups you mention? If so you have the first step to getting out of your rut.
Many of my clients respond to their problem with this statement, “Every time I say to myself I need to make a change, it always backfires and I end up going one step forward, 500 steps back.”
Do you feel this way, if so you are not alone!
The truth is when you get the feelings that your goals are impossible to reach, do you believe it has to do with the goals you have selected or with uncertainties/fears/negative challenges that impact your belief that you will get there?
When this happens you need to try harder to put yourself in situations that will create opportunity of change. Not only will doing something for change and the enjoyment of it help get out of your mental rut; it will give you a new opportunity to form relationships and friends… breaking down your fear boosting self confidence are all supported by the willingness to change.
I look forward from hearing from you!!!
Love and Blessing
LeToya
