Welcome Friends,
Last month we touch basis on “What do you want”. This month August’s lessons we will complete our awareness on “What do I want from my life” sessions. In June we rested our mental thinking and feed our spirits.
This exercise consists of listening to a variety of inspiration messages that came in the form of music. This helped you FEEL the power of your emotions and help with the creating visualizing process.
In July sessions we listen and watched a variety of inspiration messages that came in the form of video. This also helped you FEEL the power of your emotions and help with the creating visualizing process.
This month of August we will wrap things up with articles that can help us get out of our comfort zone to get what we want out of life.
Our careers give us a sense of success, independence, and maturity. However, many of us are in quite a quandary about how to find careers that we enjoy and that give us the financial security and freedom we crave.
In order to find balance within your career and family you must learn how to incorporate time management into both your career and family life. To do this you must first check your priorities.
What are the most important factors within your life in this present moment?
Think about your lifestyle…
Who are you in your family life?
What are your roles?
How do you spend most your time?
What needs to stay at the top of your to-do-list and what can be replaced?
Who are you in your family life…I am the head of household.
What are your roles? My roles consist of being a wife, mother, daughter, business owner, and pastor.
How do you spend most your time? I spend most of my time completing household management, building a counseling business, and community services.
What needs are at the top of my list?
Family
Counseling/Community Services
Household Management
Social event with extended family members
What can be replaced? I can cut back on my social events in order to make more time for community services such as Wedding Ceremonies and New Home/Office Blessing.
This same concept can be made when incorporating your family into your work life. Above we made clear what our family expectations are. Now we can work those expectations into our career life or balance the two out by rearranging what should remain urgent and what could be put off until a later time.
How this can help you…
Well!
Answer the exact same question only this time try to relate those questions to your career life.
Who Am I in my career?
What do I want in my career?
Or, what career do I want?
How do I want to spend my time within my career hours?
What needs to stay at the top of your to-do-list and what can be replaced?
How do I get what I want in a career?
Who am I in my career? I am a writer, business owner, counselor and pastor.
What do I want in my career? I want to help people change their condition within their lifestyle. I want people to love themselves more so they can learn how to say yes to life and create the life they desire.
How do I want to spend my time within my career hours? I really enjoy marrying people, and I love to bless people homes and workplaces. However, counseling and writing are my top priority along with running my other business ventures.
What needs to stay at the top of your to-do-list?
Counseling & Writing are urgent!
What can be replaced?
I do not want to replace anything. However, I can cut back on offering services for marrying couples and home blessing by appointment only. This way my life will not become overscheduled and my family continue to get their time as well as my business venture.
How do I get what I want in a career?
First, I prepare and set priorities. Next, I list my urgent first on my to-list then I list what is important continuing until I get to least important. For example,
To-Do-List
Urgent
Family
Counseling
Writing
Important
Marring couples
Home/Office Blessing
Least Important
A perfect kitchen is least important.
Household Management is important but can be delegated to my husband and kids assigning each person a job. Good thing I have four children! LOL.
I hope this helps. Till next time!!!

Things to think about, Life will always have challenges just remember this too shall pass. Your ultimate goals and objectives you have set out for your life resolves around your fears, anxiety or low self-confidence. Do you have a sense for which one of these may be causing the hiccups you mention? If so you have the first step to getting out of your rut.
Many of my clients respond to their problem with this statement, “Every time I say to myself I need to make a change, it always backfires and I end up going one step forward, 500 steps back.”
Do you feel this way, if so you are not alone!
The truth is when you get the feelings that your goals are impossible to reach, do you believe it has to do with the goals you have selected or with uncertainties/fears/negative challenges that impact your belief that you will get there?
When this happens you need to try harder to put yourself in situations that will create opportunity of change. Not only will doing something for change and the enjoyment of it help get out of your mental rut; it will give you a new opportunity to form relationships and friends… breaking down your fear boosting self confidence are all supported by the willingness to change.
I look forward from hearing from you!!!
